Silk velvet vs cotton velvet: which one to choose?
Same price per metre, two fabrics with almost nothing in common. What silk velvet is really made of, what gives cotton velvet its body, and how to sew each one.
Panne velvet is a velvet with a long pile laid flat in one direction, giving it a smooth, highly lustrous surface with shifting reflections. It is soft to the touch, supple and fluid.
This panne velvet features a classic leopard print, with black and chocolate rosettes on a caramel and cream background. Thanks to its elastane, it offers good stretch and great comfort.
It is ideal for close-fitting creations such as dresses, tops, bodysuits or leggings, as well as evening, stage or dance wear.
