Silk Crepe Georgette Fabric by the Meter

Silk Georgette

Silk georgette owes its name to the French dressmaker Georgette de la Plante, who popularized this fabric in the early 20th century. Somewhere between crepe and muslin, it combines the softness and transparency of muslin (although it is heavier) with the textured appearance of crepe, which comes from its weave and tightly twisted threads. Flowing, light, and supple, it is perfect for dresses, blouses, skirts, scarves, sleeves, and formal wear.
