Originally invented for the famous fashion designer Cristóbal Balenciaga, gazar is a rigid fabric made of intertwined and twisted double threads. This rigidity makes it possible to give many shapes to the fabric without it losing its hold. The twill of this fabric offers a texture produced by a particular weaving characterized by the presence of oblique ribs.
