Chantilly lace is a lace made by hand using bobbins, the origin of which dates back to the 17th century in France and more particularly to Chantilly, hence the origin of the name. At the time, highly appreciated by the nobility, it was known for its lightness and for its inimitable patterns which were drawn on the skin thanks to a delicate play of shadows.

This water green Chantilly lace can be used to make mantillas, long dresses and accessories such as collars or cuffs.

Note on the photograph: This lace is placed on a water green silk satin of the same shade as the lace.

French-made lace.
